Invisible Borders has always been a strong proponent of education, especially where this translates to encouraging critical thinking while equipping individuals with the necessary skills to translate inspirations and intuitions into tangible outcomes.
Moreover, we have taken to referring to the Invisible Borders Trans-African Road Trip project as “learning while the landscape is changing”. Yet, it does not stop on the road. Since 2009, we have nurtured gatherings and platforms of learning through workshops, presentations and exhibitions.
In the future, we hope to intensify our efforts towards the teaching of critical thinking and techniques in photography, writing, film and sound. Our primary focus will be on fostering a conversation-based/community learning approach to education.
Our insistence on education is tied to the fact that at the core of the Invisible Borders Trans-African Project is to encourage not only cognitive advancement but also spiritual growth.
